Greg Chesnutt
Managing Director and Co-Founder
Mr. Chesnutt joined Jordan Capital as an advisor in January 2008 and is a Founding Partner. Prior to founding the Fund, Mr. Chesnutt served for six years as President of The Betco Corporation, a $100 million manufacturer and marketer of specialty chemicals and equipment. Prior to joining Betco, Mr. Chesnutt served as a portfolio company President and CEO for Brynwood Partners L.P. II, a middle-market private equity fund focused on consumer products manufacturers. Prior to that, Mr. Chesnutt was a Vice President of Acuity Brands (NYSE:AYI) (formerly National Service Industries), where he directed business planning and acquisitions for Lithonia Lighting, Inc., an $800 million manufacturer of commercial lighting fixtures. Mr. Chesnutt began his career as a CPA at Price Waterhouse where he provided accounting and financial advisory services to Fortune 500 clients in a variety of industries. Mr. Chesnutt received a B.S. degree from The Citadel, an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization.
Jeff Thomas
Managing Director and Co-Founder
Mr. Thomas joined Jordan Capital in August 2007, to work directly with each of our portfolio companies to assess and improve the efficiency of their operations. Prior to joining Jordan Capital, Mr. Thomas was a consultant with McKinsey & Company. During his four year tenure, he served as associate, practice manager and engagement manager in their North American operations practice. Prior to that, Mr. Thomas spent eight years working for a tier-one automotive supplier, eventually leading operational improvement efforts at manufacturing facilities throughout North America, South America and Europe. Mr. Thomas began his career at a small, start-up recycling company where he served as process engineer and plant manager for the company's first large scale processing facility. Mr. Thomas received a B.S. degree in industrial engineering from Lehigh University and an M.S. degree in industrial engineering from the University of Tennessee.
Gunby Garrard
Managing Director and Co-Founder
Mr. Garrard joined The Jordan Company in 2003. Shortly after arriving at TJC, Mr. Garrard established Jordan Capital as a vehicle through which TJC would make private equity investments with company and investor capital. Since establishing Jordan Capital, Mr. Garrard has spent the past five years overseeing Jordan Capital's investment activity. During this time period, Mr. Garrard has refined the investment strategy by evaluating a wide variety of investment opportunities, performing detailed and high level due diligence on a variety of companies, negotiating the purchase agreements, arranging financing and working with management since closing the investments. Mr. Garrard currently serves as the President of The Jordan Company overseeing TJC's private equity investment activity. Prior to joining TJC, Mr. Garrard worked for Total System Services, where he was the director of corporate planning. Mr. Garrard received a B.B.A. degree in International Business from the University of Georgia and an M.B.A. degree from Emory University.
